SANCTUARY MINISTRIES

Deacons Ministry I Timothy 3:8,9 "Likewise must the Deacons be grave, not double tongued, not given to much wine, nor greedy of filthy lucre; holding the mystery of the faith in pure conscience."

The Deacons are in the direct line of authority to the Bishop. As such, the Deacons are to help make the Bishop feel secure. They may be called upon by the Bishop at anytime, to perform any task in support of the church. The Deacons are seated on the front row of the church, directly in front of the Bishop. From this position, they serve as shields for the Bishop. From this vantage point they offer spiritual support to the Bishop and congregation. The Deacons are responsible for serving the elements of the Lord's Supper to the sick, and shut-in within the week prior to the same being served to the general congregation of the church. The Deacons watch over the church membership. This is done by praying for the membership and by making themselves available to the membership for spiritual support. The Deacons attend all worship services as an essential part of their lives.

Ushers Ministry Psalm 84:10 "I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness."

The church usher is a servant who exercises the gifts of helps, and has a unique opportunity to display the grace of God by his/her attitude and the atmosphere he/she creates. Ushering sets a tone of friendliness, concern and helpfulness. The Usher must allow hospitality to become a great part of them, wrapping every word & clothing every action in the spirit of human kindness. An usher's kind of Christianity should allow people to let down their guards, open their hearts and relax their minds for the worship of God and the direction of the Holy Spirit. The usher must be understanding with the difficult person and exercise compassion with all kinds of people while learning to be efficient and effective servants of God.

Ministerial Staff 2 Corinthians 3:5,6 "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; Who also hath made us able ministers..."

The ministry is twofold: it is to the Lord and to fellow believers. Ministers provide significant personal services. An active use of one's gifts and resources to meet the material and spiritual needs of others. Not only that Ministers are also armor bearers of the Bishop. In Exodus 17:10-12 - Hur and Aaron held up the hands of Moses until the Amalekites were defeated, so too, the ministers of Randall are to hold up the hands of the Bishop (in prayer) until the enemy is defeated. We are the watchdogs for the shepherd among the sheep.

Hospitality Ministry I Peter 4:9,10 "Use hospitality one to another without grudging."

Hospitality is the practice of welcoming, sheltering and feeding, with no thought of personal gain, those who come to your door. Hospitality includes setting aside time for fellowship and being flexible in order to accommodate impromptu gatherings.

Worship and Arts Psalm 149:1 "Praise Ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise in the congregation of the saints."
